SSF 131 – Spe Salvi: Benedict XVI’s Theology of Hope
Dates: TBD
Dates: TBD
In an age marked by restlessness, disillusionment, and the search for meaning, Pope Benedict XVI’s encyclical Spe Salvi(“Saved in Hope”) offers a luminous vision of Christian hope—rooted not in mere optimism, but in the Person of Jesus Christ.
This six-week course will explore the theology, scriptural foundations, and spiritual implications of Spe Salvi, guiding participants through Pope Benedict’s insights on suffering, prayer, salvation, and the ultimate horizon of eternal life. Together, we will reflect on what it means to hope “with reason” and how Christian hope empowers us to live differently in the world today.
