SSF253 – Holiness: A Course in the Spiritual Classics Part II

This course focuses upon the theme of holiness through the fundamental realities of prayer and the spiritual life. Various dimensions of prayer and the spiritual life will be examined such as mental prayer, redemptive suffering, Eucharistic Adoration, the Mass, and spiritual reading. Topics will highlight classical spiritual writers including Saint Ignatius of Antioch, Saint Teresa Benedicta of the Cross (Edith Stein), St. Alphonsus of Liguori, Saint Theresa of Avila, Saint John of the Cross, Saint Leonard of Port-Maurice, Saint Thomas Aquinas, Saint Peter Julian Eymard.
NB: It is not necessary that one take Part I of this course before Part II. One may take either Part I or Part II of this course first with equal benefit.
