SSF231 – From Healed Psyche to Divine Union: The Psychology of St. John of the Cross

Can Saint John of the Cross’s understanding of the human person, which is based on Saint Thomas, be reconciled with modern psychology and contemporary brain science?  In this course we will consider Saint John of the Cross’s discussion from the Ascent of Mount Carmel, of the healing of the intellect, memory, and will, through faith, hope, love, respectively.
