SSF115 – Evangelization and the Spiritual Life

Evangelization and the spiritual life has always been the cornerstone to the mission of Christ and the Church He established. Benedict XVI stated that “the Church exists for worship, to serve the poor, and to evangelize.” Seeking to live out our baptismal vocation of holiness in mission, we will examine the key principles to the spiritual life and how all evangelization springs forth from a life in the spirit. We will also consider the key “thresholds” to evangelization and explore catechesis as the on-going work of the Holy Spirit. Lastly, we will examine why the parish is on the front lines of the new evangelization.
