SSF 103 – The Life of Christ, Our Heavenly High Priest

This course will offer a sustained reflection on the “height, length, breadth, and depth” of the graced heart’s freedom to depend upon the prayer, merits, sacrifice, and life of Jesus, the Crucified and Risen Lord.

Students will contemplate: the distinction between our offering of ourselves to Jesus, and our offering of Jesus to the Father; that the least degree of sanctifying grace contains and gives us to possess all of the goods of Christ and all the saints; the truth of His divine indwelling in our hearts by grace, and how this leads us to reinterpret many other truths of the faith in its light; and the condescending of Our Lord’s sacrifice of praise into our earthly sacrifice of suffering, which enables the ascending of our earthly sacrifice of suffering into the heavenly sacrifice of praise.
