Literature gives us the ability to examine the lives of others and use their joys and misfortunes to shape our own lives. Join us for an interesting journey through works of literature that are foundational to Western Civilization.
Texts include: Dream of the Rood, the Martyrdom of Perpetua, Augustine on Faith and Science, Beowulf, Macbeth, Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, excerpts from The Canterbury Tales, excerpts from The Divine Comedy, The Masque of the Red Death, excerpts from Don Quixote, Campion’s Brag, A Man for All Seasons, and Quo Primum.
