Christopher T.M. West is Assistant Professor of Church History at Saint John Vianney Theological Seminary in the Archdiocese of Denver, Colorado. He completed a dual-concentration Ph.D. in Ancient Christianity and Medieval Studies at Yale University (New Haven, Connecticut). His area of academic expertise lies in the history of Christianity during antiquity and the Middle Ages. Currently, he is working on a book project studying conceptions of the fall of the angels in patristic thought. He loves the tradition of the Church, he is a lay oblate of the Monks of Norcia (Italy), and his spiritual patrons are Saint Augustine, Saint Athanasius, and Saint Benedict.
